I am doing this project to earn my Bronze Award for Girl Scouts. The reason I decided to do this particular project was because I saw an ornament on a tree at church that asked for scarves for all ages to be given away at Christmas House. I decided to knit or weave a scarf each month so that I could donate 12 scarves next year. Then, I thought this would be a good project for my Bronze Award because its a stupendous way to have fun and help others.
If you would like to help me help others, this is how you can:
1. Grab your needles, hooks, or sewing machines and get crafting! We need scarves, cowls, hats, and mittens.
2. Spread the word to your crafty friends.
3. If you can't create, you can donate money or yarn, and we will get supplies to people who have the skills! There are no restrictions on materials.
4. If you have skills, but need yarn, or fabric, please contact my mom Anna Montgomery at ImogensGarden.Anna@gmail.com She will get supplies to you as fast as she can!!
Christmas House is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. They organize toys so that they can give them to infants and children who need Christmas gifts and cold weather accessories.
Mrs. Ann Patterson, the owner of Monarch Knitting in Pacific Grove, California, is giving SuperScarves a discount on yarn, is donating wool herself, and has agreed to handle gift card purchases.
To donate financially, please contact Ann Patterson at Monarch Knitting
Thank you for your support!!
